The Living Plains
This August, Wildman Farm once again opens its doors as part of the South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival, showcasing a collection of artists connected to the Northern Adelaide Plains and beyond.
Set within our restored 1880s limestone barn, silo gazebos and surrounding grounds, The Living Plains brings together a diverse group of returning and new artists, each responding to place, material and story in their own way.
This year's exhibition features works across painting, photography, textiles, glass and metal, alongside handcrafted pieces created here on the farm.
We're proud to welcome back returning artists:
Lena Burghardt, Liz Collins, Charmaine Krishnappa, Camille Rouliere, Marie Tapscott, Brenton Wildman and Cate Wildman.
Joining them in 2026 are:
David Grech, Terri Pye, Tania Gilbert, Kym Hampel, Adele Justice, Ryan Kammermann and Ameena Junaize.
Together, this collection reflects both the landscape and the people who shape it, a living, evolving expression of the plains.

π₯ Live Blacksmith Demonstrations
While you're visiting the exhibition, step into the forge and watch Brenton Wildman demonstrate the traditional craft of blacksmithing.
Using a classic coke forge from a Seppeltsfield farm, century-old leather air bellows from a historic southern Adelaide forge, and a workshop built using reclaimed materials from around Wildman Farm, Brenton shares the techniques, tools and stories behind this fascinating heritage craft.
Demonstrations take place every Saturday throughout August and are included with your exhibition visit.
